Standard Laboratory Reconstitution Protocol
Reconstituting lyophilized peptide powder requires aseptic laboratory technique to preserve tertiary peptide structure, prevent precipitation, and maintain enzymatic stability:
Temperature Equilibration
Allow the lyophilized vial to equilibrate to ambient temperature (20°C–25°C) for 15–20 minutes to prevent moisture condensation upon seal release.
Septum Disinfection
Swab the rubber septum of both the peptide vial and the Bacteriostatic Water vial with a sterile 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe and let dry.
Slow Solvent Introduction
Inject the calculated volume of Bacteriostatic Water slowly down the inside glass vial wall. Avoid spraying directly onto the freeze-dried pellet.
Gentle Dissolution
Swirl the vial gently until the solution is completely clear. Never vortex or shake vigorously to avoid mechanical denaturation.
